About The Split Chimp

The Split Chimp is a craft ale house and micropub occupying an external unit of the restored Spanish City at Whitley Bay Plaza, overlooking the promenade and North Sea. It is a second site for the Split Chimp, which was founded in Newcastle in 2015, and opened here in early 2019. The single-room bar offers real ales and ciders on hand pull, keg and bottled craft beers, prosecco, wine, spirits and cocktails, plus pub snacks and local fish and chips. Knowledgeable staff, a relaxed, sociable atmosphere and a dog-friendly policy make it an easygoing spot for a drink with sea views.
