ZaNapoli Wood-Fired Pizza Is Coming to Monkseaton

Monkseaton is getting a new independent pizza place. ZaNapoli, the Neapolitan wood-fired pizza restaurant from Low Fell in Gateshead, is opening its second site in Monkseaton, according to two separate round-ups of new North East openings published in late October.

For residents around Monkseaton, that means a sit-down pizza option on their own doorstep rather than a trip into the centre of Whitley Bay or Tynemouth.

What we know so far

HighLife North reports that the Monkseaton site will serve the same Neapolitan pizza as the original, alongside panuzzo (a filled, pizza-dough sandwich), small plates, coffee, cannoli and pastries, running from morning coffee through to evening pizza. The Luxe Bible openings list includes it too, and adds craft beers and wines to the offer.

ZaNapoli's first restaurant is at 168a Kells Lane in Low Fell, according to the ZaNapoli website. It posts updates on Instagram at @zanapoli.woodpizza.

What we do not know yet

Neither report gives an opening date or an exact street address, and Luxe Bible lists the opening as to be confirmed. We will add ZaNapoli to our directory once it is open and trading, and update this post when a date is announced.
