9th Whitley Bay Scout Group
A Whitley Bay Scout group running Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, plus an air rifles programme, from its own hut on Grenada Drive.
About 9th Whitley Bay Scout Group
The 9th Whitley Bay Scout Group meets at its own Scout hut on Grenada Drive and offers a full programme of sections for young people: Beavers for those aged 6 to 8, Cubs for 8 to 10 and a half, and Scouts for 10 and a half to 14. It also runs a supervised air rifles activity, and older members move up to the District Explorer Scout Unit. The group is part of Whitley Bay and District Scouts and the wider Scout Association.
Like every local group, the 9th is led by volunteers and gives children a weekly programme of games, crafts, outdoor skills and adventure, alongside camps and days out across the year. New young people and adult helpers are welcome, and places in the most popular sections can fill quickly, so it is worth registering early through the group or the district.
