19th Whitley Bay Scout Group
A long-standing Scout group meeting at Eccles Hall in Earsdon, running Beavers, Cubs and Scouts for young people in the western part of the district.
About 19th Whitley Bay Scout Group
The 19th Whitley Bay Scout Group is based at Eccles Hall in Earsdon, on the western edge of the Whitley Bay and District area, and runs Beavers for those aged 6 to 8, Cubs for 8 to 10 and a half, and Scouts for 10 and a half to 14. Older members join the District Explorer Scout Unit, and the group is part of Whitley Bay and District Scouts within the wider Scout Association.
Run entirely by volunteer leaders, the group gives children a weekly programme of teamwork, outdoor skills, games and badge work, alongside camps and community activities through the year. New young people and adult volunteers are always welcome, and, as with most local groups, registering early is the best way to secure a place in a popular section.
