About This Event
Salt & Smoke is a promenade theatre adventure through the streets and stories of Blyth, created by Novo Theatre as part of the Blyth Celebrates programme. Audiences are led on foot to hidden corners of the town centre to encounter a series of performances inspired by the town's history, weaving together tales drawn from 500 years of Blyth life. Part guided walk and part living theatre, it turns the town itself into the stage. The production runs across two September weekends, 18 to 20 and 25 to 27 September, with a shorter Friday-afternoon performance and longer shows on the Saturdays and Sundays. Wrap up for the weather and wear comfortable shoes for walking, and expect to see familiar streets in an entirely new light.
