About First Gymnastics Whitley Bay

First Gymnastics runs recreational weekly gymnastics classes for girls and boys aged four to twelve at Whitley Bay High School on Deneholm. Sessions last 55 minutes and are grouped into three levels — Mini, Midi and Maxi — with activities tailored to each child's experience and ability. Children work on jumps, rolls, balances and apparatus including bars, vault, trampettes and air tracks, developing core strength, coordination, flexibility and confidence. Classes run during term time on weekday evenings and at weekends, and holiday camps are offered during school breaks, open to non-members as well as regular participants. Coaches are qualified and DBS-checked, and progress is recognised through an awards scheme.
