About Co-op Funeralcare, Whitley Bay

Co-op Funeralcare is the UK's largest funeral provider, and its Whitley Bay branch at Algernon House on Algernon Place brings that national network to the town with local funeral arrangers who know the area. As part of the wider Co-op group, the branch pairs the reassurance of a large, established organisation with a familiar high-street presence, and offers arrangements 24 hours a day.

The branch arranges full-service and simple funerals as well as direct cremations, and is known for clear, published pricing so families can understand costs from the outset. It also offers pre-paid funeral plans, allowing people to set out their wishes and fix the cost of the funeral director's services in advance, and staff can guide families through the choice of burial or cremation alongside local celebrants and florists.
