Charity Shops in Whitley Bay

St Oswald's Hospice — Main Shop

St Oswald's Hospice at 72-76 Park View is the main branch, selling clothing, homeware, bric-a-brac, books, and more. A well-known fixture on Park View. Open Monday to Saturday 9am to 4:30pm. All profits support the hospice.

Best for: Main Park View shop, wide range, well established.

St Oswald's Books & Bridal

St Oswald's Books & Bridal at 37-39 Park View is the standout. This specialist shop combines a second-hand bookshop with a bridal department selling wedding dresses, bridesmaid gowns, prom dresses, and evening wear. It is one of the most unusual charity shops in the North East.

Best for: Books and bridal wear, unique concept, Park View.

British Red Cross

British Red Cross at 87-89 Park View sells clothing, shoes, books, CDs, DVDs, and homeware. Open seven days a week including Sundays 11am to 4pm.

Best for: Park View, Sunday opening, general stock.

Barnardo's

Barnardo's at 202 Park View sells clothes, books, homeware, and toys. Open seven days a week including Sundays 10am to 4pm. All profits support children and young people.

PDSA

PDSA at 10 Park Avenue (just off Park View) sells clothing, books, homeware, and bric-a-brac. All profits fund free veterinary care for pets of people in need. Open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm.

YMCA Charity Shop

The YMCA at Unit 1, Park View Shopping Centre is primarily a furniture shop, though it also stocks clothing and smaller items. Open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5:30pm. All profits support YMCA housing and community programmes.
